Now enrolling students 12 through 15 years old for the Chicago Filmmakers 2008 Advanced Digital Moviemaking Summer Youth and Teen Camp. This camp is designed for older youth and younger teens to collaborate on more sophisticated movie projects while learning advanced writing and digital video production skills and on-camera performance techniques. In today’s evolving technological atmosphere, many young people gain valuable skills with video production and moviemaking in their everyday lives, and this camp will help them advance to the next level to produce more professional movie productions. Campers build on prior experience in video production that they may have acquired through other arts programs, school instruction or homework, or even through the making of “home-movie” productions. The camp closes with a public screening to showcase the work for friends and family, and each student receives a DVD copy of all projects completed in the workshop.
