Now enrolling students 10 through 13 years old for the Chicago Filmmakers 2008 Digital Moviemaking Youth Summer Camp. This comprehensive, 2-week camp will cover all aspects of digital video production, from initial concept to finished movie. Students will learn about pre-production planning, storyboarding, digital video cameras, lighting, sound, shot composition, and computer editing, and will work collaboratively on group projects. The camp closes with a public screening to showcase the work for friends and family, and each student receives a DVD copy of all projects completed in the workshop. Camp Dates: 2 weeks, June 16 – 27 Camp Hours: 10 a.m. to 3 pm., Monday through Friday Cost: $400 for the 2-week camp Maximum Enrollment Capacity: 10 students Extended Hours: Pre/post-camp care is available for 10 – 14 year olds during the hours of 9-10 a.m. and 3-5 p.m. for an additional fee of $8/hour.
