During each week long day camp session, campers will be responsible for the feeding and care of their school horse and will learn to handle them safely. Grooming and bathing and other hands-on activities. Campers will learn to lead their horse from the ground and test their skills going through an obstacle course. There will be a live demonstration by a farrier, showing how to care for the horse’s feet. Everyone will also get a chance to become a veterinarian and learn to check the vital signs of a horse, in addition to identifying their anatomy. Daily horseback rides with side walkers to ensure safety. Individuals learn to ride their own horses with direction from a CHA certified trainer.Each camp session is one week long and runs from 9am to 3pm Monday through Friday.
