Are you an Actor, Dancer, Rapper, Musician, Poet or Visual Artist?
Are you between the ages of 13 - 22?
If you have or want the skillz and want to work with other young artists, ACCESS to THEATRE/ ACCESSARTS is an after-school inclusive arts education mentoring program for youth and young adults with and without disabilities.
Award winning ACCESS to THEATRE will host a year-long series of arts opportunities including drama/improvisation, visual arts, music, movement, and other forms of expression. Young artists who participate in ATT will work with professional artists during the year and have the opportunity to create original productions and perform them for the community. Young artists ages 16-24 can apply to become peer leaders in the program. While acting as mentors, peer leaders gain an enriching volunteer experience. Peer Leaders develop leadership and job readiness skills while at the same time assisting participants. Training in communication, problem solving, working with diverse groups, and advocacy will be offered to peer leaders. Community service hours that peer leaders earn may assist in meeting high school or college requirements. ACCESS to THEATRE/ ACCESSARTS is a program of Partners for Youth with Disabilities in collaboration with Until Tomorrow Productions, VSA arts of Massachusetts and the Boston Center for the Arts.
