Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks offers many different Summer Camp options. We have Summer Fun Centers, Day Camps, Specialty Camps and Therapeutic Day Camps. Our Summer Fun Centers are filled with fun and excitement for boys and girls entering grades 1-6. The hours of operation are 8am-2:30pm with some sites offering extended hours from 2:30-5:30pm. We also have an Inclusive School Age Summer Fun Center for students entering grades 1-6, as well as Pre-School Fun Centers for children ages 3-5. The pre-school program operates as half-day sessions. Pre-Teen Fun Centers are available at selected sites for children entering grades 5 and 6, the activities are more challenging and age appropriate and they will take several field trips throughout the summer.

Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks also offers Summer Day Camps at Downs Park and Quiet Waters Park. We also offer several options for Teens on the Go! Teen Day Camps are for teens entering grades 7-9 and are action-packed.... with most days 'on the go'. Teens will travel around the county from activity to activity such as skating, golfing, swimming and bowling. Out of county trips include Six Flags, Kings Dominion, Ocean City and Hershey Park. If your child is up for a challenge you should check out our Wilderness Challenge Camp at Kinder Farm Park.

Wilderness Challenge Camp is a 5-day camp for boys and girls ages 9-12, activities may include: rock climbing, fishing, kayaking, white water rafting and a ropes course. Don't forget to check out our Summer Specialty Camps, including: Babysitting Basics, Etiquette, Around the World Camps, Imagination Camps, Sports Camps, Computer Camps, and Science Camps.

In addition to our traditional Therapeutic Summer Programs we offer several options for inclusion and diversity. Siblings and friends, youth with medical concerns, Pre-school and teen programs are offered. These programs are offered at Mayo Beach and Lake Waterford Park.
