Now in its sixth year, ArchiCamp is an innovative and exciting day camp offering kids ages 9-13 a unique opportunity to explore architecture in New York City.
Each day a specific architectural concept is presented and then the kids work on an engaging, hands-on building project related to that concept. They get to experiment with form, structure and materials, their imagination and creativity the only constraints. Work is done both independently and collaboratively.
In the afternoon the group visits a building or neighborhood that relates to the morning's project. Besides reinforcing the concepts developed by the building project, the site visits offer the kids a unique view of New York, one which will change the way that they view their city.
