Groups of no more than 12 girls have ample room to work in the studio space of our Fine Arts Building, Fashion Design Studio, and spacious kitchen for culinary projects. Girls receive personal attention from artists working in each field, to build a foundation of skills that will serve them for a lifetime. Materials, tools, and equipment are provided. The Workshop process trains girls in responsible use of equipment and respect for the work of others. Each two week session features unique projects, so campers wishing to attend both sessions will continue to learn new techniques or apply new ideas to techniques already learned. An Arts Festival afternoon marks the culmination of each session. This celebration of creativity is a delight to girls and their families: the quantity of fine work they produce in two weeks is substantial. The Festival begins with a Fashion Show, with each girl modeling the garments she’s made. Artwork, Craft projects and Fashion Design drawings are on display to admire while enjoying the party foods catered by the campers from their Culinary Arts classes.
