The Bergen County YJCC's summer day camp offers summer activities for children of all ages and interests.
• KinderCamp, ages 2 to 4, includes a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, including water activities, music, arts and crafts, story time, gym and so much more. Four-year-olds will be introduced to horsemanship and horseback riding. Offered in 4-, 6-, and 8-week sessions.
• KidsCamp, kindergarten through grade 5, includes horsemanship and riding, instructional swim, gym, music, drama, games, etc. Offered in 2-, 4-, 6-, and 8-week sessions.
• Sports Camp, grades 1 through 8, offers a fun, non-competitive environment in which to learn and play a variety of sports, ranging from basketball and soccer to dodgeball and capture the flag. Swim is included in the day. Offered in eight 1-week sessions.
• Game Time Basketball Camp for grades 1 through 8 is one week of late afternoon team training.
• Actor's Workshop, grades 4 through 12, is led by professional, working actors with experience in theater, film, TV, dance and commercials. This program offers serious training along with serious fun, including trips to Broadway shows. Offered in one 4-week session.
• Teen Travel Camp, grades 6 through 9, includes trips to exciting destinations, including one overnight and one three-night trip. Joining our Teen Travel campers are Israeli teens taking part in Project Open Hearts, Open Homes. These teens have been affected by violence and war and enjoy respite in Bergen County with host families and participate in Teen Travel. Offered in two 3-week sessions.
• Counselor-in-Training, ages 14 and 15, gives teens hands-on experience working with children of all ages and abilities. Offered in one 8-week session.
• Camp Shalom, ages 3 through young adult, is the YJCC camp for those with any physical or developmental delay. Under the supervision of professional staff, campers participate in age and ability-appropriate activities, including art, music, nature and yoga. Supplemental services, including physical, occupational and speech therapies are available. Offered in seven 1-week sessions.
