Great family getaway or local day camp opportunity.  Hilton and Learn Scuba Chicago have partnered to offer a week long, scuba day camp for kids.  All kids over 10 can attend and emerge with two of the three parts of Junior Open Water Certification (class and pool).  Stick around for the weekend and finish the open water dives to complete the certification... or take the referral to a warm water destination and complete the certification.

Campers will spend the day learning about scuba diving and actually diving in the indoor and outdoor pool (weather dependent) in a safe, fun and slow paced environment.

Captain Bob is also part of the Chicago Shedd Aquarium Dive Team and will be diving the Wild Reef Exhibit the Saturday following each camp.  Then, LSC offers scuba boat dives on Lake Michigan with a barbeque beforehand and fireworks at Navy Pier afterwards!

Campers and their families are encouraged to take advantage of Hilton's special Scuba Camp package which includes $99/night rooms (normally $130) and discounts on golfing, spa services and the scuba camp.  Indian Lakes features a 27 hole golf course with 9 new holes.  Included are a 600 yard par 5 and an island par 3! (Resort say not required for camp.)

An adult open water class is also offered at night during the camp sessions.
