Imagine a day camp that is designed to offer children a choice of many science themes. Themes which include experiments and projects in Video Game Creation, Robotics, Veterinary Medicine, Crime Scene Investigation, Food Science, Paleontology, Engineering, Space, Biology, Chemistry, Oceanography, and much more! Now imagine that this day camp really exists and for 11 years has been providing an opportunity for young people to see how science works in the real world. Club Scientifics' summer science day camps offer 17 unique 'minds-on/hands-on experiences for children ages 4-13. Our camps appeal to those who have a genuine interest in how things work, what things are made of-and real world science. Our goal is for kids to have fun, and get excited about science. Club Scientifics' camps often rely on the expertise of visiting community professionals. For example, campers meet actual veterinarians, crime scene investigators, and local law enforcement officials in our Camp Emergency Vet and Camp CSI. The camp day is divided into four major time slots which includes two extended sessions of science projects and experiments. The third session is an outdoor component which involves skill building and teamwork activities. The fourth major component is comprised of alternating science, craft, skillbuilding, and outdoor recreational projects. Club Scientific always wishes to strike a balance between academic, social, and recreational pursuits. Our camps specialize in hands-on, minds-on activities for children ages 4-13.
