Deer Mountain Day Camp is proud to be Rockland County’s longest continually owned and operated day camp. Founded in 1956 by Mel Katz, we are now in our second generation of leadership and we’re celebrating our 50th Anniversary year! At Deer Mountain, our campers feel like they belong… Like they’re connected to our community. They feel safe and comfortable – just like at home. Being family owned drives our personal approach and our 3 to 1 supervision ratio. In our warm atmosphere, our campers make friends, gain confidence, try new things, commemorate each of the step they take and soak up the incredible range of activities that we offer.
