++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Accept the Challenge Camp places teams of participants in situations and activities that are open-ended and engaging, and draw on a wide range of interests and talents, from technical to theatrical. Our hands-on challenges allow teams and team members to take true ownership and responsibility for their solutions, fostering accountability and self confidence. The real impact happens by way of the PROCESS participants use in developing solutions, and the short debriefs that help facilitate learning. But, hey, it’s camp, so kids are having so much fun they may not recognize the valuable skills they’re developing. You’ll notice!
Each four-hour session of this camp incorporates warm-ups, teambuilding, skills workshops, Creative Problem Solving Tools, Instant Challenges, performance challenges and task/building challenges. Naturally, the team building and complexity of challenges grow each day, but in a positive and fun way. At the end of the week, parents are invited to come see these terrific teams in action and try their own hands at an Instant Challenge!
Camp Environment
Each camp has a DI, Inc. Enrichment Programs Director who has been trained in our unique curriculum and methodology, alongside local counselors who are screened and trained to deliver the highest quality camp. We create and maintain a safe camp environment that encourages:
· Development of creativity
· Freedom to think in fresh, innovative ways
· Enthusiasm for group involvement
· Enjoyment of the problem-solving process
