Located on the campus of Yale University, EXPLO at Yale is the perfect place for you to get a taste of college life while you are still in high school. You'll engage in innovative courses and activities as you learn about things that YOU want to learn about. Students from more than 40 states and 40 countries come to EXPLO each summer because they are interested in learning. At EXPLO, our courses are ungraded and pressure-free, so you are encouraged to try academic fields and extracurricular activities that are new and interesting to you. This is the place to try crew for the first time, or to debate the morality of genetic stem cell research, or to learn how to stretch a West African drum, or to deliver the closing arguments in a murder trial. You will feel comfortable trying new things and expanding your horizons, because everyone here is trying new things and expanding their horizons. You’ll be led by a faculty comprised of current and recent college students from some of the country’s top colleges and universities. Supported by a network of full-time, professional educators, our faculty members are your instructors in the classroom, your advisors in the dorm, and your coaches in extracurricular activities.
