Since the Summer of 2000 Fitness by the Sea has been offering our unique camp experience to children ages 5-13.
We
are proud to be celebrating our 10th year on the beaches of Southern
California; now with four locations - Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Santa
Monica, and South Bay.
Our Philosophy
We believe
in an unstructured environment where campers are free to participate in
as many or few activities as they want and are encouraged to try
different things each day. Our campers have the freedom to roam from
activity to activity as they wish. We offer a wide variety of
activities each morning and afternoon. At our largest location, in
Pacific Palisades, we are able to present at least 10 activities each
morning and at least 10 activities each afternoon. At our smaller
camps, in Malibu, Santa Monica and South Bay, we offer at least 5
activities at all times.
Another thing that you should
know about FBS is that we group our campers by activity and not by age.
We do realize, however, that our youngest campers (ages 5-6) sometimes
need special attention and activities that cater to their needs and
offer a little extra TLC. Therefore, we offer optional "tadpole" games
each day that are just for our youngest campers.
Sometimes
when faced with too many exciting choices campers need help making
decisions. A few of our caring staff are always "roaming" to help these
campers find the perfect activity.
Our camp caters to
every child. Those who love the ocean can swim with the dolphins or
participate in numerous water sports such as surfing, boogie boarding,
and paddling.
