Hike, kayak, canoe, and raft while learning about the ocean, rainforest, glaciers, and wetlands of the Prince William Sound and Copper River Delta region of south central Alaska. Everywhere you look, there’s something new to explore in the rich ecosystems of the Copper River Delta and the Prince William Sound.
Science Camp is a great time to be active and have fun in the outdoors—and learn about the amazing landscape that surrounds you. During your week at camp you'll hike through the rainforest, explore Orca Inlet, canoe through the wetlands of the Copper River Delta, and see glaciers up close. You might even spend an afternoon hiking on a glacier! Each day will be filled with outdoor activities and hands-on exploration of the science of climate change and how it affects the environment around us. Nights will be spent at our field camp on the beautiful Copper River Delta and will be filled with fun camp activities, delicious meals, crafts and games. Programs are led by our knowledgeable and caring staff, and we often invite local scientists to share their expertise with us. Science Camps are adventurous and fun, and by the end of the week you'll be able to see for yourself that from the forest to the sea...it's all connected.
