Participants will learn lyrics and choreography to a Broadway song, appropriate to their age & skill level. After engaging in fun & challenging theatre exercises, participants will choose a comedic and dramatic monologue choosing from contemporary or classic plays. (Ideal for arts–school audition & commercial preparation.) Imagination & Sensory exercises will help to develop different characters.
In a positive and safe learning environment, participants will explore the physical art of Commedia dell’Arte (the root of pantomime).
Participants will engage in work-shopping scenes from classical & contemporary playwrights such as William Shakespeare, George Bernard Shaw, Arthur Miller, & Tom Stoppard, and more!
