The Washington International School summer camp, called Passport to Summer, is an annual program that features a wide variety of exciting learning activities, from intellectually challenging fields such as immersion languages, journalism, computers, and mathematics to drama, arts and crafts and creative writing.

Washington International School summer camps build on the rich language tradition of the school, emphasizing language learning such Spanish, French and Chinese. English as a Second Language (ESL), also known as ESOL and EFL is a great way to learn about life in the US through a range of activities and field trips.

Passport to Summer welcomes students from Washington DC and beyond, providing a unique multicultural experience and a wide range of programs for primary (lower) school, middle school, and high school. Making friends from around the world, learning new skills, trying something new, mastering a foreign language—these can all be part of your fun-filled summer at Washington International School. And, from the classroom to the office, our summer staff—most of whom work for WIS year-round—are selected for their enthusiasm and experience, and for an unswerving commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment.
