We offer both EARLY robotics (ages 7-11) and NXT (Mindstorm) (ages 10-14) Robotics camps in two separate one week sessions (June 9-13) (June 16-20).  Robot Discovery Camps are for youth ages 7-14. Join us for a fun and cool adventure in robotics and alternative energy!  Come have fun and learn about robotics, programming, teamwork and robot design.

EARLY Robotics

EARLY Robotics means Engineering and Robotics Learned Young. This program introduces 7-11 year olds to engineering principles by using LEGO Simple Machine kits to build robots and realistic motorized machines. Young engineers in this class will gain knowledge of building and mechanical engineering fundamentals, teamwork, project planning and time management.

LEGO NXT Robotics

With the whole world going green, come learn about alternative energy, energy audits, and renewable energy. Create and program robots that help a community rethink its energy consumption. Campers, working in design and construction teams, will create robots that solve engineering problems in a model community. The jam-packed week will conclude with a friendly competition designed to inspire campers to implement energy conserving changes in their own environments. Enjoy visits from professionals currently using robotics in different fields.  This camp is for youth ages 10-14.  Separate tracks for beginners and advanced.

Hands-on camp rules! No more summer camps where kids spend hours staring at a computer screen. Here kids learn, build, test and redesign LEGO robots, all while having a blast!
