School News Nationwide Organization is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization that has been operating out of New York for sixteen years.  Our organization specializes in education and community development across the 5 boroughs of New York City, particularly in Kings County. A major part of our program is our Literacy/Journalism in Education Department.  The program teaches students journalism basics, investigative reporting and interviewing, journalism writing, copy editing, and production. All classes are aimed at cultivating students’ critical thinking abilities.  In our camp, we also focus on basic academics (math, readoing, and writing) in addition to providing a wide variety of activities which include arts and crafts, dance, karate, theatre, weekly trips, and sports.
