At The Marcus Lewis Day Camp, campers can specialize in artistic, athletic and even technology based activities that are specifically aligned with their own interests. Teens choose individually while juniors choose with their group. There are more than 100 rotating activities that are available at various times during the summer and they are taught by professionals. Our 5:1 camper/counselor ratio is based on personnel over the age of 18; we do not use counselors-in-training (CITs) in any type of supervisory roles. Additionally we offer specialty programs: horseback, cooking, golf, dance, tennis and day trip adventures. Our horseback component is taught at the renown Harmony Horseback Stables located next door in Littleton. Horseback camp is open to all levels of riders from beginner through advanced. Our Day Trip Adventures Camp focuses on the many fantastic resources available to us here in New England. Whether it's white-water rafting, mountain bike trip, paintball or an afternoon at Water Country, we introduce campers to a wide array of activities. In "The Chef's Kitchen," our culinary specialist gives campers a fantastic hands-on experience that is fun, educational and tasty. Everything from how to safely and effectively use kitchen utensils to following a recipe to perfection is covered. Of course campers will have ample opportunity to consume their creations on a daily basis! Our golf camp is held at the Red Tail Course on Devens which has been rated as the best public course in the state. Campers receive professional instruction on all of their strokes before testing their skills on nine holes. Tennis is played at The Marcus Lewis Tennis Center where trained professionals give the campers great instruction along with plenty of fun and games. We have a completely separate website for this program because of its comprehensiveness. Lastly, our Let's Dance! program is held in our Teen Center/dance area where our campers learn everything from Hip-hop to the Merengue. Our instructor for this program was even a successful contender on the FOX TV show, "So You Think You Can Dance?". The camp operates its own buses and offers transportation service from as far east as Newton, north to Chelmsford, west to Leominster and south to Marlborough. Our program reviews have been extraordinary, such that we are the only camp we know of that will offer a money-back guarantee if a camper's experience in any of our camps is less than exceptional. From 2004-2007, the program has won the Reader's Choice Award that is given through the Community Newspaper Company/Boston Herald as the highest rated program in the area.
