OVERVIEW:
The Nature Place Day Camp is an American Camp Association (ACA) Accredited Summer Day Camp located in Rockland County, New York. We offer programming for children ages 4 -16 from Manhattan, Rockland and Westchester Counties in New York and Bergen County in New Jersey. We provide bus service from Manhattan, Westchester and Bergen Counties.
As a small, non-competitive, nature-oriented day camp, we are proud of what we offer: a beautiful 200-acre site with superb indoor spaces and magnificent woods, streams, farmland and fields for exploring; small, co-ed groups; hobby times; organic farm and gardens; cooperative games; American Red Cross swim program; day hikes and camping overnights; storytelling; cooking; earth art and crafts; and much more. We have an exceptionally caring and competent staff.
We are also proud of what we DON'T have! There are NO: bells, loudspeakers or PA systems; awards or award ceremonies; color wars; TV's, video games, cell phones, iPods or movies: pressured daily schedules; opportunities to spend money (we do not have a camp store or soda/candy machine); chances to get lost in the crowd (there is no crowd).
