Children learn the Japanese martial art Aikido, known as the \Art of Peace\ for its unique, non-violent, non-competitive philosophy. Morning Aikido practice emphasizes the art of falling (ukemi), opening movements, and basic partner techniques. Afternoon art and cultural activities include paper folding (origami), brush painting, Japanese cooking and a field trip to Japanese gardens. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with extended care available (8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.).
