A 10 day intensive chamber music program for intermediate to advanced string players. Dates for 2006 are June 26-July 9th (no classes July 1-4). Days run from 9am-5pm. All activities take place in New Haven, CT. Application deadline is February 15th (applications received after 2/15 will be considered if space available). Cost $1000. Some finacial aid available. Schooner Sound Learning\'s summer ecology programs for kindergarten through third grade take place at coastal sites around New Haven. Children explore a different site each day learning about tide pools, mud flats, sandy beaches and more. Sea Urchins ages 4-5 9am-12pm, Sea Sprites grade 1-3 9am-4pm. Students in grades 6-12 board the rigged schooner Quinnipiack and other vessels for a full day of marine science, seamanship and fun. Ecology camp for 6-13 year-olds at the farm emphasize hands-on activities in ecology and environmental science Each week of the camp is devoted to a particular environmental theme - food and farming; animals and insects; water; trash and recycling; and forest ecosystems – with hands-on learning activities focused on the themes. Weekly field trips support the various environmental topics. Members of the youth crew (ages 14+) work on projects around the farm that teach them carpentry, maintenance and gardening skills in addition to learning about punctuality, cooperation and appropriate workplace behavior....
