Five different week-long camps are available from Mad Science of Washington in the metropolitan Washington DC area. Camp titles are 3-2-1 Blast-off where the kids build rockets and MORE!: Red Hot Robots where the kids learn, play, and build their own robots; Earth, Space & Beyond! where the kids become junior astronauts along with many other fun activities; Science In Motion when the kids become junior engineers; and finally, the kids become crime scene investigators with our Crime Scene and Chemistry camp. In the technology half of the day, campers choose to create one project of their own design for each two-week session. The tech choices are: programming, robotics, video, animation, web design, print media & digital music .
In the sports half of the day, campers get a variety of activities: soccer, basketball, softball, ultimate frisbee, capture the flag, volleyball, street hockey, gymnastics, martial arts, and dance. We offer extra cost options in drama, dance and tennis.
The camp day runs from 8:30 to 3:00, with extended day until 6:00. Brown bag lunches are refrigerated....
