The camp will provide participants with the opportunity to explore Chinese culture and history through arts and crafts, literature and demonstrations. Each day participants will spend time scouting the museum for artistic inspiration for activities. Whether campers are carving soap sculptures of animals,learning to write calligraphy or performing Chi Gong, this experience will be sure to pique their curiosity and exercise their creative abilities. A maximum of 30 youth, from all backgrounds, will unite to create and to discover the arts, Blacks’ contributions to the arts, their individual gifts, friendship, virtuous values and community building. Camp ends with a festive finale Showcase and a Rites of Passage Ceremony celebrating Community and the unique gifts each brings to the community. Family, friends and the public are invited....
